The Project Management Officer (PMO) delivers LSHTM’s strategic projects, that include IT systems, business change and Estates refurbishments and new builds. The PMO team require a Project Governance Officer to oversee and advise on project process compliance, including project initiation, key artefacts, risk management, review and audit and to manage internal reporting on same.

The primary focus of the role within the PMO, will be assisting the Head of Project Management in managing the visibility, tracking, analysis and reporting of the project & programme portfolio / pipeline and provide project quality assurance and centre of excellence capability analysis and progress updates on the School’s portfolio of projects and change programmes, to deliver on actions as directed by governance bodies and provide day-to-day Project Management Office administrative and point of contact support.

The successful candidate will hold a qualification at Further or Higher Education level, or equivalent experience of working with a range of Project Management Methodologies, tools and techniques such as Agile, Waterfall, Prince2 along with proven experience in project management and have a track record of delivering project governance oversight. The post is full-time 35 hours per week, 1 FTE and permanent.

The salary will be on the Professional salary scale Grade 5 in the range £38,282 - £43,947 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
